- Up-cycled embellishments

The joy of creating
My favourite part of creating a crochet or woven accessory or a piece of jewellery, is undoubtedly the hands-on process of the making of the piece itself. It's where I can truly bring my ideas to life, playing around with ideas, colours and textures, inspired by nature. Each thread, fibre, adornment, crystal or piece of sea-glass, is carefully chosen and intricately worked, creating a tactile and visually engaging item that reflects the beauty of the natural world around us.

Inspiration from history and folk crafts
I love local history and folklore and can often be found wandering the local woods or beach, foraging for sea-glass, sticks and rocks. I am fiercely proud of my Lancashire roots, and love reading about the vibrant history of the area and it's traditional rural crafts and designs. My inspiration is also sparked by local lore and it's tales of witches, legends and mythical beings. I strive in all my work to to imbue each new creation with a sense of heritage and individuality.
